A former beauty pageant queen, Dr. Ekpo cultivates her patient’s positive character with individualized Botox & filler treatments for the face, various hair restoration options, and numerous skin rejuvenation modalities in all ages to achieve realistic hair growth and beautiful skin.
Dr. Ekpo demonstrates consistent scholastic success, dating back to being recognized as valedictorian of Northeast Magnet High School and then graduating summa cum laude from Langston University. She then received her medical degree at Oklahoma State University where she graduated with honors and was inducted into Sigma Phi National Honorary Medical Society. Dr. Ekpo completed her dermatology residency at St. Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, MI. During her time in Michigan, she also served as Associate Faculty at Michigan State University College of Medicine where she educated medical students on various aspects of dermatology with an additional focus in hair restoration. Dr. Ekpo is truly passionate about skin and hair loss and gives her patients exceptional care. Unlike most hair transplant surgeons, Dr. Ekpo is also a board-certified dermatological surgeon with further specialization in hair loss disorders and uses state-of-the art options, such as PRP (platelet rich plasma), exosome therapy, and hair transplantation to name a few.

Dr. Joseph Claiborne, III MD, FACP is a board-certified internal medicine physician, focusing on wellness, including weight loss management in Dallas - Fort Worth.
Dr. Claiborne is a two-sport student-athlete and certified personal trainer, and earned an athletic scholarship to Howard University, where he played football and also ran track while completing his Bachelor of Science. Although satisfying, he endeavored to have a bigger impact in health care to his clients through medicine. He then pursued functional medicine training at Cleveland Clinic where he was the recipient of their prestigious institute of functional medicine scholarship. This allowed him to achieve his passion of creating an integrated and holistic approach to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic diseases which commonly contribute to preventing weight gain, weight-loss, and significantly negatively affecting one’s quality of life.
Dr. Elizabeth Ekpo has over 5 years of experience as a physician. She is an Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for fitness, women’s health, mental health, wellness, and hair restoration. She received her Medical School Training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

Dr. Elizabeth Ekpo has over 5 years of experience as a physician. She is an Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for fitness, women’s health, mental health, and wellness. She received her Medical School Training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She completed an internship year in orthopedic surgery in Saint Louis before transferring to the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL to become an Emergency Medicine Physician. After residency, she returned home to Dallas Texas to serve her community.
Dr. Ekpo takes a holistic approach to treating all her patients. She believes in treating your mental and physical well-being and not just symptoms. She enjoys working out, home remodeling, traveling, watching movies; and spending time with her wife, two cats, and two dogs.
Dr. Uya has over 15 years of experience as a Physician. She is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician with a passion for helping one achieve their personal health and wellness goals.

Dr. Uya has over 15 years of experience as a Physician. She is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician with a passion for helping one achieve their personal health and wellness goals. She has practiced in a range of settings, including office-based, rural clinic, telemedicine, medical missions and hospital medicine. She received her Medical School Training at Oklahoma State University Health Sciences Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her residency at Integris Bass Baptist Family Medicine Residency in Enid, Oklahoma.
She chose to pursue Osteopathic Medicine because she wholeheartedly believes and considers all aspects of treating the whole person and not just the symptoms. She believes that proper sleep, nutrition, stress management and physical activity are all part of maintaining and improving your overall health. She enjoys walking outdoors in the fall season and working on arts and crafts with her two young daughters.

Our Direct Care Practice model offers patients personalized care, more relaxed visits, transparent pricing, and most patients pay less for their care compared to the traditional healthcare model. There are no copays, no billing of insurance, and few prior authorizations required. The pricing structure is transparent. We are not contracted with insurances allowing patients the freedom to choose their physician.
We truly care about our patients well-being, their health and success. Our doctors have extensive experience taking care of patients holistically and stress the importance of proactive medicine instead of reactive medicine. Our patients receive the extensive time with our physicians and clinical team required to adequately treat, diagnose, and prevent chronic disease.
The Direct Care Practice model offers patients personalized care, more relaxed visits, transparent pricing, and most patients pay less for their care compared to the traditional healthcare model. There are no copays, no billing of insurance. Why? This freedom allows us to provide services we believe our patients need and deserve. However, because we do not cover services performed outside our office, we recommend that our patients carry some insurance coverage in the event of a catastrophic medical event to minimize your financial exposure.

Doctor Edges Memberships are automatically debited monthly on the day of the month purchased. Packages require a 3-month commitment, and cannot be transferred to other people. If you wish to cancel your membership after the initial commitment of 3 months, please email a 30-day notice to admin@thedoctoredges.com. If the membership is not canceled after the 3-month commitment, it will automatically renew until a 30-day cancellation notice is received. Membership cancellation is not prorated. You will be charged for the entire month if canceling within the month/ current billing cycle. Your cancellation will take into effect at the end of the current month/billing cycle.
